They’ll also get a pair of charming bunny ears to wear and the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny himself. Once you register, you’ll receive an event start time that varies by age. At check in, children will receive a wristband to help determine their hunt group. When the egg hunting is done, participants are invited to make their way to the nearby 407 Food Fair where BBQ will be on hand at Ivanhoe Park Brewing between 1:30 pm and 7:00 pm to help curb cravings worked up after all of that searching!
Meet the Easter Bunny at The Mall at Millenia
Orlando’s Mall at Millenia is an impressive shopping stop year-round, but during Easter it’s a hub of holiday fun as it’s the very place the Easter Bunny sets up for photos and meet and greets! The mall is located near SeaWorld and Universal, making it a convenient place to incorporate into an itinerary when you’re excited to get those holiday photos snapped. Get the kid’s dressed up in their Easter best and get ready for a fun meeting with options to purchase a professional photo package if the pictures turn out better than you ever imagined.
Make it an Easter Experience at ICON Park
The Easter Bunny Garden Experience enjoyed at ICON Park is a fantastic way to mix your holiday fun with a stop at one of Orlando’s most iconic destinations while you’re in town. Situated right on International Drive, ICON Park is an oasis of fun filled with museums, delicious eateries, and amusement-style attractions to match. Over Easter, guests can meet the Easter Bunny here and get a photo taken as well. Every child who takes a picture with the Easter Bunny at ICON Park also gets a golden token for a ride on the Icon Park Wheel. This 400-foot Ferris Wheel is one-of-a-kind and provides visitors with exceptional views from above! Other riders can receive 50% off admission to the Wheel when a photo is taken.
Enjoy an Egg Display at Disney
An annual tradition at Easter across the Walt Disney World theme parks is to create displays of spectacularly decorated Easter eggs for guests to admire and enjoy. Chefs from across Disney restaurants participate in creating this eye-catching display, which is both thrilling and edible. In Orlando, displays are typically set up this time of year at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort in the lobby, the Grand Floridian’s lobby and concierge area as well as Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort within the Carriage House. Head over to Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort lobby for even more colorful display fun.

After the last bite of your turkey sandwich has been devoured and your final Christmas decoration has been lovingly placed in its spot of honor this year, the snow that is falling, the icy streets, and the cold that doesn’t stop until May doesn’t bother as you much as normal. You know that in just a few short days or even weeks, you are getting on that plane and heading to sunny Orlando. Celebrate in a new way in 2021 as you experience the beauty of a Florida Christmas. This year is about starting new traditions while holding many of the old tightly to your heart, and this guide to your Christmas in Orlando will allow you to seamlessly blend them both together!
Tree Lighting Ceremony, December 3 at Lake Eola Park, Washington Plaza
As the sky darkens and carolers sing, the anticipation begins to build. Of course, the dark spruce standing tall in the center of the plaza amazes, but when the switch is flipped and the colorful lights begin to gleam, you can’t hold back the stunned gasp of delight. The tree lighting ceremony is a tradition we all love, and during your Orlando visit, it is not one you have to skip if you are here in the early days of December! Featuring a holiday performance at the Walt Disney Amphitheater, food trucks offering festive foods, and a holiday market for getting a jump start on your Christmas shopping, this beautiful ceremony is all about the feels.
We Love a Parade
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is over, but there are more ways to draw out that feeling of anticipation all the way up to big day itself, and not all of the parades will be about Disney! The 69th Annual Winter Park Christmas Parade, held in nearby Winter Park, is scheduled to be held on December 4 from 9 to 10:30 AM and is guaranteed to get everyone in the Christmas spirit. Known as Ye Olde Hometown Parade and featuring Christmas themed floats, marching bands, and of course, Santa himself, this parade will be enjoyed even more under sunny skies and in warm temperatures! The Once Upon a Christmas Parade is back at Disney, held after their Disney Very Merriest After Hours event early in the month and at various times during the week of December 22; it promises to be the parade your youngsters will remember forever! Offering the magic of Disney, all their favorite characters join in the party and of course, at the end, Santa makes his own appearance, giving parade viewers the thrill of a lifetime!
Christmas Festival, December 12, 1919 Delaney Avenue
The joy of Christmas never shines brighter than through the eyes of a child, and this special event will be just the proof you need. Featuring a winter wonderland (minus the cold and snow!) with cookies, hot chocolate, and a live nativity scene with real animals, the Christmas Festival is one event our children look forward to every year. Starting at 5 PM and lasting until 7 PM, the petting zoo and pony rides offer a unique way to celebrate everyone’s favorite holiday and the opportunity to meet Santa will finish off the event in the most perfect way possible!
Kissimmee Holiday Festival, December 18, Kissimmee Civic Center
There are lots of ways to celebrate Christmas in the Orlando area, and even though we really can’t choose our favorite, we will tell you that the Kissimmee Holiday Festival ranks right up there with the best of the events going on during this magical season! Finish up your Christmas shopping as you explore the aisles filled with craft vendors, and as you sing along to the holiday music playing merrily in the background, you will realize that your tank of Christmas spirit has been filled quite nicely! On the main stage of the Civic Center there will be two performances of A Christmas Who’sical—it’s rumored that the Grinch will be on his best behavior—and as with most Christmas events in the Orlando, there will be another opportunity for your littles to have a heart to heart with Santa.

By the time Thanksgiving rolls around, most of the nation has already begun to dip its toes into the winter season, even if the official start is still more than a month away. The leaves have all fallen from the trees, the skies stay gray and gloomy, and in colder states (or those with higher altitudes) the snow has already fallen more than once, making driving a nightmare! Here in Orlando, however, the humidity is beginning to dry up a bit, the sun is going to be shining, and eternal summer continues, making our Florida city one that offers a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Just imagine not having to clean your house from top to bottom, (our cleaners not just clean, they sanitize and disinfect) not having to listen to cranky relatives complain that the turkey is too dry, and not having to cook the meal yourself! Many local restaurants are open and happy to prep, serve, and clear, so your Thanksgiving getaway to Orlando and your stay in one of our Magnolia Villas holiday hideaways is guaranteed to give you more things to be thankful about!
2021 Turkey Trot, November 25th, 8 AM, Avalon Town Park in Orlando
You have all this extra time of your hands and you are still going to be eating a week’s worth of calories later in the day, so why not be pre-emptive and get your exercise out of the way? The 2021 Turkey Trot, sponsored by the Avalon Park Foundation, allows you to eat more later and do a good deed at the same time; this non-profit organization funnels the moneys it receives from the Turkey Trot admission fees into the neighborhoods and communities of Orlando! Prices start at $20 for adults and $10 for kids if you register online before November 5, but they will go up in $5 increments the closer you get to race day, so don’t delay, sign up now!
Time to Eat
At last! After years of working your fingers to the bone, trying to ensure that all 17 dishes are ready to be consumed at the same time and being so tired and edgy you really don’t enjoy your hard work, it is time to let someone else take over the cooking. You can sit back, relax, and enjoy a meal expertly prepared by someone else and walk away refreshed, relaxed, and full at meal’s end! As you might expect, there are more than a few restaurants that will be open and serving a wonderful Thanksgiving meal, but the Capital Grille, located at 9101 International Drive, is definitely a local favorite! Offering a traditional Thanksgiving menu, as well as the thick and juicy steaks that make a night out on the town so much more special, the Capital Grille will put the thanks back into your Thanksgiving celebration.
Night of a Million Lights, November 25, 5PM-10PM, Give Kids the World Village in Kissimmee
After the last bite of turkey has been eaten and the sun has set on another Thanksgiving Day, the lights turn up in nearby Kissimmee! The Night of a Million Lights in Give Kids the World Village offers a festive beginning to the next holiday season, and if you miss out, you will never be able to forgive yourself. Running for 52 nights and featuring millions of lights that dance, twinkle, and shine, ticket prices go towards giving critically ill children (and their families too, of course!) vacations that will not cost them anything! Meaning that as you walk through the village, enjoying sweet treats, holiday music, and even a trail of sparkling trees, your holiday spirit will receive a much needed bump AND you will be doing something good for those who aren’t as fortunate as you are!
